What happened with Bug Zero?

Last week was a big week for us as we organized the very first Colombo Bug Bounty Meetup at the Hatch Auditorium on February 21, 2023. We were thrilled to see around 50 participants in attendance, all of whom shared a passion for bug hunting and cybersecurity.

We were honored to have three incredible speakers at the event, Dr. Primal Wijesekera, Nipuna Weerasekara, and Isuru Vishwanath, who delivered keynote speeches on bug hunting and Burp Suite.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the APNIC Foundation for providing the funds necessary to organize this event. Without their support, this event would not have been possible. We are grateful for their commitment to promoting cybersecurity and supporting initiatives like ours. Also, we would like to extend our gratitude to all the participants who attended the event and made it a success. Their enthusiasm and willingness to share their knowledge made the meetup a truly interactive and engaging experience for everyone.

We are already looking forward to the next meetup and will be organizing it soon. We will keep you updated on the details of our next bug bounty meetup, including the date, time, and location. To stay informed and receive quick updates, we encourage you to join our social media platforms.

Staff’s Capacity Building Programme 3

Bug Zero recently organized its third staff capacity-building program, which took place last week. The program focused on various topics related to bug hunting and cybersecurity, including the latest trends and techniques in the industry. One of the key discussions during the program was the update to Firebase 9, which is a critical component of our systems. The team explored the new features and capabilities of Firebase 9 and discussed how we can integrate them into our existing systems to improve our services. By keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and tools, we can continue to provide the best possible solutions to the challenges facing our clients. The program was a great success, and we are excited to continue building our team’s expertise in the field of bug hunting and cybersecurity.
